with Liam McCauley

I’m Liam — a native of Donegal, a licensed national tour guide, and the person behind Irish Guided Tours. I create tailor-made tours for travellers who want to experience the real Ireland, beyond the usual sightseeing stops.

With years of guiding experience, a background in cultural heritage, and a deep love for Ireland’s hidden corners, I bring guests to places they might not find on their own — from quiet valleys to windswept cliffs, from village pubs to timeless traditions.

You won’t be part of a crowd. You’ll travel in comfort, with a guide who takes time to listen, adapt, and share the Ireland I know and love.

Your trip, your Ireland, your way

Whether you’re curious about Irish history, looking for outdoor adventures, exploring your family roots, or just want to slow down and take it all in — I’ll work with you to build an itinerary that fits.

Each journey begins with a conversation, and from there, I’ll design your route, suggest ideas and make it all seamless from start to finish.

Whether it’s your first visit or a long-awaited return, I’ll help you discover landscapes, stories and places that speak to your interests — all at your pace.

I don’t offer pre-set tours or fixed schedules. Every trip is unique, and I believe that’s the way it should be. If you’d like to talk about your ideal visit to Ireland, I’d love to hear from you.

Sigal, Ilay and Uri Geffew

Stella and I really appreciated and enjoyed your tour. It isn’t easy to drive so much, keep us safe, dodge the weather, and provide for everyone’s interests, but you did all those things well while educating us on so many interesting things on a wide range of topics. We appreciate you indulging us with our questions, which helped us get to know each other better. Our best to you and beautiful Ireland. We will miss you both!

Jeff & Stella

Thank you for helping to make this the trip of a lifetime! Your love of Ireland is obvious and heartwarming, and your breadth of knowledge is astounding. We truly enjoyed your company, and very much appreciated the many little things you did to make us comfortable every day. You are indeed a lovely ‘gentle’ man. If you ever find your way to New Orleans we hope you will allow us to show you some southern hospitality.

Gwen and Jack

Dear Liam, Thank you for making our trip to the Republic of Ireland educational as well as pleasurable! If you are in our area, please give a shout!
